Project Life: Week 39 and Ventura
2 Aug 2013
One of the things I love about doing Project Life is that I can make as many pages as I want to. I have loved adding in extra pages for our trips this year, and I have a lot more of them to come! Every year Eric and I try to get away for a weekend, usually in January or February, when there are deals to be had. This year we went in March to Ventura, and we loved it.
I pick up little area guides and tourism magazines wherever we go, and they are frequently map goldmines. I knew I wanted to make this pretty one the centerpiece of this page.
Our B&B was such a unique gem, it had to be included.
Ventura was just the cutest town: independent shops and restaurants everywhere, and that big gorgeous ocean to boot.
This is our expert writing-in-sand-with-toe handiwork.
The best thing about the Channel Islands Visitor’s Center was that it had a whole tide pool exhibit inside. You better believe I crowded right on up there with all the other six-year-olds.
This page shows off some of our Sunday adventures, including the discovery of the gorgeous and secluded beach.
I got this little date stamp from Office Depot for five dollars. Awesome!
I got this little seashell stamp for a dollar at the craft store. I hope it will make some more appearances this summer.
It was so cool to visit one of the earliest missions and attend mass there.
And, of course, the glory of all California road trips: farmer’s markets! This one in Oxnard just knocked our socks off. We ate like kings the next week. I had no idea that celery could be so delectable. And then there were the strawberries. A little bit of paper, a little bit of glue, and I get to live this all over again.

Looks like you had a wonderful time! However, I don’t believe there is any such thing in the whole world as delectable celery, ick 😉
