I want to remember this. Over the weekend my parents were in New York visiting my brother and my sister-in-law. On Sunday afternoon, I got an email from my dad with this picture. While they were strolling through Central Park, they heard this cellist playing Canon in D. This is the music that played when my dad walked me down the aisle, and I love that he thought of me when he heard it. It’s our song. I’m so grateful I get to share it with him.

You know that has always been our song going all the way back to our search at Planet Music for just the right version; and he even played it with that critical part in the middle that I always close my eyes to feel the beautiful sound. Thanks to the modern technology of smart phones, I was able to share that moment with you again even though you were three thousands miles away.
That’s right, and I’ll never forget it. Love you, Daddy!
I was so discombobulated when I saw this! I thought “Wait a minute! I just took a picture of this myself!” Now I remember Dad saying he sent you a text. But I didn’t know what it was! Sweet!
You are both very sweet indeed!
What a beautiful moment! And how wonderful that your dad shared it with you, and you with all of us. The Canon in D never gets old — it’s so breathtaking, much like these sorts of moments that just fall in our laps, unsolicited, reminding us that that magic is around every corner.
Beautifully said, as always, Moriah! Thank you!
